1. Who We Are

This website and our detailing services are operated by Smart Salvage Consultancy & Training Sdn Bhd, trading as Smart Elite Detailing, of No. 28, Jalan PJS 11/20, Bandar Sunway, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. When this notice says “we”, “us” or “our”, it refers to this business. We are responsible for the personal data we collect from you.

2. What We Collect

We only collect the information we need to serve you. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

• Your name and contact details (phone number and email address).
• Your vehicle details (such as type, make, model and condition).
• Your service address and area, when you book mobile (doorstep) detailing.
• The content of any enquiry or message you send us.
• Basic, anonymous usage data from this website (see “Website Analytics” below).

3. Why We Use It

We use your personal data only for clear, legitimate business purposes:

• To take, confirm and fulfil your bookings.
• To process your deposit payment. Your deposit is paid securely by card or FPX online banking and processed by Stripe, our payment processor — your card details go directly to Stripe and any banking or wallet login stays with your bank or wallet, and we never see or store your card or banking details.
• To send you appointment confirmations and reminders by email.
• To reply to your enquiries and provide customer support.

4. Legal Basis

We process your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia. We rely on your consent, given when you submit a booking or enquiry, and on the need to take steps at your request and to perform the service you have asked for. We will not use your data for a new, unrelated purpose without letting you know.

5. How Long We Keep It

We keep your personal data only for as long as it is needed to serve you and to meet our business and accounting obligations — for example, to manage your bookings, honour any follow-up, and keep proper records. When it is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it.

While you fill in the booking form, it keeps what you have typed in your own browser for up to 24 hours so you do not have to retype it. This stays on your device and is removed once your booking is made.

6. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the trusted service providers we need to run our bookings, and only to the extent required:

• Stripe — our payment processor. It securely processes your deposit by card or FPX online banking; card details are entered directly into Stripe’s secure form and are never seen or stored by us.
• ZeptoMail — to deliver transactional email such as your booking confirmation and reminders.

These providers handle your data on our behalf and are expected to protect it. We may also disclose data where required to do so by law.

7. Website Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use our pages so we can improve them. This collects anonymous usage statistics (such as pages viewed and general device information) and is not used to personally identify you.

8. Your Rights

Under the PDPA, you have the right to ask us to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date, and to withdraw your consent to our use of it.
